Apprenticeships in Switzerland

Procedure basic vocational training

The core apprenticeship for commercial specialists lasts 3 years. Throughout you training, you will also attend external courses delivered by Swissmem.

We offer two separate commercial apprenticeships in Aarburg or Unterkulm, an extended apprenticeship (Track E), and an apprenticeship for the Federal Baccalaureate (Track M).

Practical basic vocational training

You will train in a range of different departments, including Customer Services, Sales Back Office, Logistics and Shipping, Export Sales and Finance and Accounting.  

Throughout the training period, cross-professional skills such as methodological, social and self-competence are promoted and further developed.

Procedure basic vocational training

The core apprenticeship for logistics specialists lasts 3 years "Lager" culminating in a qualification procedure. Over the course of your training, you will also attend a number of external courses provided by the Swiss industry association SVBL.  

Practical basic vocational training

Your training will focus on areas including receipt of goods, warehousing, preparing goods for shipping within Switzerland and for export, and shipping

Year 1: Acquiring core skills and expertise
Year 2: Building on fundamental skills and expertise
Year 3: Consolidating learning and preparing for the qualification procedure

Proceduere basic covational training

The core apprenticeship lasts 4 years, comprising two years of basic training (followed by a preliminary examination) and two years of additional and/ or specialist training in Aarburg or Unterkulm. The apprenticeship concludes with an Individual Practical Assessment. 

Practical basic vocational training

Your apprenticeship will be delivered at our in-house training center, where you will work together with other specialists to develop and design components and assemblies for coffee machines, domestic kitchen systems, and tools and appliances for production. You will also dedicate your time to contract work, specification sheets and/ or sections of individual projects, drafting manufacturing and inspection documentation, and gathering necessary production data.

Throughout the training period, cross-professional skills such as methodological, social and self-competence are promoted and further developed.

The core apprenticeship lasts 4 years, comprising two years of basic training (followed by a preliminary examination) and two years of additional and/ or specialist training in Aarburg or Unterkulm. The apprenticeship concludes with an Individual Practical Assessment. 

Practical basic vocational training

Your apprenticeship will be delivered at our in-house training center. The curriculum will focus on a number of exciting machining processes, and feature extensive use of CNC machinery, as well as measurement, inspection, installation and commissioning work. Your specialist training will be delivered in various departments within the company, broadening and developing your skills and expertise.

Throughout the training period, cross-professional skills such as methodological, social and self-competence are promoted and further developed.

Proceduere basic covational training

The core apprenticeship lasts 4 years, comprising two years of basic training (followed by a preliminary examination) and two years of additional and/ or specialist training in Aarburg or Unterkulm. The apprenticeship concludes with an individual project.  

Practical basic vocational training

Your apprenticeship will be delivered at our in-house training center. Your training will focus on technical skills such as setting, pressing, bending, shaping, welding, grinding and mounting. This will be followed by specialist training within the company, as part of which you will build on your knowledge and skills by working on real-life contracts and projects.

Throughout the training period, cross-professional skills such as methodological, social and self-competence are promoted and further developed.

Procedure basic vocational training

The core apprenticeship lasts 3 years and will be complemented throughout your training by a range of external courses. Your training will be delivered in various departments within the company, encompassing a wide range of equipment. From the second year onwards, you will be working in shifts.

Practical basic vocational training

You learn your professional skills both on single machines and on highly complex production machinery featuring robotic parts. You will also be expected to work at an external company for three months as part of an apprentice exchange program.

Procedure basic vocational training

Your core apprenticeship lasts 3 years and will be complemented throughout your training by a range of external courses in Sursee.

Practical basic vocational training

You will develop professional experience in areas including:

– Building and estate maintenance and cleaning
– Maintenance and repairs
– The use and maintenance of in-house appliances

Procedure basic vocational training

Your core apprenticeship lasts 4 years. Two years are basic training, that end with a partial examination. This part of the training is done in cooperation with the Paul Scharer Institute PSI.
Two years of supplementary and specialization training, which takes place in Aarburg, will mainly be in the development of Coffee Systems. The apprenticeship is completed with the IPA.

Practical basic vocational training

Your basic training will take place at the company's own vocational training center and at PSI. The focus is on the production of front panels and housings and other simple mechanical parts. The layouting and manufacturing of circuits and devices as well as the commissioning, measuring, adjusting and adapting. The programming of simple microcontroller programs is also part of the basic training.

The main training takes place in different productive departments of Coffee Systems, mainly in the development department. In this training phase, knowledge and skills are deepened.

Procedure basic vocational training

The basic vocational training lasts 2 years. In the first two months you will complete the introductory program and learn the basics of mechanical production.

Throughout your training, you will work with metals and perform simple tasks in the area of manufacturing and assembling designer kitchen covers.

Practical basic vocational training

Your basic training will take place in the company's own vocational training center. The focus is on the production of simple mechanical parts. Reading technical drawings, checking and measuring the manufactured parts are also part of the basic training. In the company, you will mainly work in our design studio for kitchen technology. During the entire training period, inter-professional skills such as methodological, social and self-competence are promoted and further developed.
