优美流畅的直线和曲线运用；从白色到淡淡暖色的中性色调；以及木材和石材等天然材料等构成了这栋公寓的设计基调。为配合超大窗框上的黑色饰条，Mei 安装了弗兰卡精致的不锈钢和黑色玻璃面板材质的微波炉和烤箱。这些设备不仅令厨房空间的设计赏心悦目，尽显低调奢华，还可满足不断增加的家庭人口和家庭聚会的需求。

以极致简约的现代风格为基调，Mei 和 Jean Pierre 在室内的装饰中融入亮眼的个人风格。从中华传统的纸灯笼到如真似幻的森林壁纸，再到写有中国谚语的海报，这些传统元素与现代化摩天大楼的未来感和谐交融，这栋不具名的大楼仿佛也有了无穷的生命力。

结识 Mei 和 Jean Pierre，一对 36 岁的年轻夫妻，他们在巴黎相识并结婚，当时 Mei 正在攻读博士学位。虽然他们在浪漫之都巴黎共度了 4 年时光，但实际上他们更喜欢上海，因为这座城市有她殷切惦念和热爱的中华传统文化。作为一名现代建筑设计师，很显然，Mei 要亲自操刀新家的设计，但她的设计中要体现他们的生活方式。比如在开放式厨房中举办晚宴，在家一边办公一边聆听流畅轻松的爵士乐，当然还有欣赏周围的城市美景。
